    Stress Less with Mindfulness

    Stress is ever-present in our lives. We can’t change that. But we can change how we manage it.

    Research has shown that practicing mindfulness is effective in reducing stress-related symptoms such as worry, depression and physical tension, and may be helpful in managing chronic conditions such as cardiac disease and diabetes.  This practice teaches and encourages the use of mindfulness self-care skills to help us feel better and enjoy life more.

    Psychological stress, particularly if chronic, can have a toxic effect on the body and physical symptoms are usually the first warning sign that stress is starting to become overwhelming.  However, when you choose a more mindful approach to challenging situations, people and events you can learn to bring more acceptance, self-care, and compassion into your life.
