Systemic Coaching

What is systemic coaching?

Life within organisations can be complex and challenging. Many people working and interacting with each other, bringing their own perspectives, beliefs and behaviours to the system – the organisation.

Systemic coaching helps clients to be aware of the systems that they come from, creates new insights on the impact of these, on their relationships and world, opening up new horizons for individual and organisational health and growth. Unless they interact with the system for its larger benefit and also for benefit of others in the system, they retreat and do not evolve.

Using a systemic approach, coachees are invited to look at a challenge from a whole new level, that’s beyond the individual and beyond the visible. I encourage the coachee to work with their intuitive intelligence, less cognitive, fewer words, less story and deeply powerful insights. Working with me will challenge the coachee to realise new associations, new patterns, and new possibilities and to learn new ways of moving forward. An opportunity to be heard, respected, supported yet often challenged. This method of working enhances a powerful solution- focused process.

By creating maps of the whole ‘system’, it enables the invisible dynamics of challenging situations to be revealed quickly and effectively. The unique feature of this work is that it enables transformation of situations whether personal, relational, and practical by working on the whole system, restoring harmony and balance

Benefits of working systemically include:

• Quickly surfaces and generates a powerful coaching agenda with real clarity and focus.
• Rapidly identifies and reveals the origins of very challenging core issues.
• Illuminates otherwise obscure blocks, finds hidden resources and resolution.
• Helps coachees to find their ‘place’ using a uniquely powerful method.
• Offers greater confidence and appreciation, personal accountability and responsibility.
• Creates a focus on ‘seeing the whole’ and ‘acknowledging what is’ which creates greater trust and safety to work with and   resolve real issues.

Testimonials

  • The profound yet simple life-changing transformation that took place for me following this workshop makes this day well worth attending.  No need for words, privacy of my issue, and the opportunity to get as involved as I wanted brought benefits that went well beyond the timeframe of the workshop. The unconscious truths that were revealed have brought about a calmness, a more grounded and peaceful way of being.

  • I found the Systemic Constellation workshop “Are you in your right place” to be a really engaging and transformational process. The issue I focused on during the workshop was one which was creating a block in my life. As a result shifts have happened which in turn created change. Suzanne is an effective and sensitive facilitator who expertly guides the group through the process. I’d highly recommend the workshop to anyone facing a challenge in their lives

  • I attended the Mindfulness Meditation Programme in Ballsbridge College for Further Education in 2019. The programme was led by Suzanne Donohoe. I was somewhat skeptical before I attended as to the benefits, but I was very positively surprised at how much I enjoyed the 8-week course. Suzanne was an excellent communicator and the course was presented in a very professional manner. I have little doubt that I will continue to use the techniques which I learned during my time there.

  • Thank you so much for facilitating the 8 week Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation Programme recently. Aileen and I found it to be most helpful and relaxing and were very impressed and appreciative of your easy and informative style in getting the technique across to everyone at the course. We hope to continue the programme as it is totally beneficial to mind and body.

  • I really enjoyed the course and your overall approach, flexibility and thoughtfulness. I have found it very useful in helping me cope with a huge loss in my life in recent months. I did some meditation on my own but the course was fantastic on putting some discipline and structure on it. Wish I discovered it 20 years ago. Keep up the good work and mind how you go.

  • Suzanne has run two -6 week Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation programmes for our staff. The purpose of the programme was to promote well-being through meditation and living mindfully and to develop techniques to increase resilience in times of stress. I found Suzanne to be highly professional and most positive in my dealings with her and I feel this was a worthwhile and beneficial investment for our staff. I would be happy to recommend Suzanne and her Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation programme to other organisations.

  • Aligning with AIB's Staff Wellbeing agenda, Suzanne provided a number of "Lunch & Learn" Mindfulness Meditation sessions which was attended by staff from across many functions within AIB. I found the sessions extremely beneficial both on a professional and personal basis. The insightful techniques and practical approach presented by Suzanne are excellent and are easy to integrate into our busy working lives. As a result of the extremely positive feedback, we received requests to provide additional "Lunch & Learn" sessions for other staff & colleagues.

  • I have just finished 4 coaching sessions with Suzanne Donohoe over 4 months.  I choose coaching as a method to allow me the opportunity to review myself as a manager but also as a team member. The methods of Suzanne's coaching I was very receptive to and she has a very approachable way in making it work by recognising you as a person.
